HOW TO BE AN ALIEN IN ENGLAND: A GUIDE TO THE ENGLISH

An absolute masterpiece

‘Absolute masterpiece! I am an Alien in England and this book helped me to understand some English habits and typical behaviour. Also I realised the English culture had a huge impact on me and I laughed hard when I discovered in some points that I slowly become English (well I will be never a real English, but the way how I react to things). It was a great pleasure to read this book. I enjoyed it so much! A must read book by Aliens and English people too.’

‘Truly enjoyable form start to finish. Incredibly intuitive and in tune with English culture. An eye-opener to an Englishman’s habits and everyday behavior. Very tongue and cheek, yet polite and sweet – a highly recommended book to read. Enjoy!’

‘A book that should be on the reading list for all social anthropology students.
This is an excellent example of an A* in-depth fieldwork. It is also a “rather” enjoyable book to own: to read it in one go or dip into it as one’s mood takes one. Something there to improve one’s perception of the behaviour of one’s colleagues, if one may be too bold to state.

I hope the book becomes a compulsory purchase at the point of entry to England. Reading it before arrival would certainly save a lot of embarrassment and confusion to all those “ill-mannered” Aliens coming to London for January sales or hoping to enjoy the high culture.’
